Withdrawal management facility coming to Greene CO.

A new facility in Cumberland Township will serve as a short-term treatment operation for people experiencing withdrawal from alcohol or drugs.

The Butler-based Gaiser Center hopes to open the new 10-bed withdrawal management facility, located along Route 21 near Carmichaels, later this fall.

Gaiser’s executive director, Joe Mahoney, began meeting with officials in Greene County in 2021, first to discuss contracting with them to send patients to Butler County for inpatient treatment, and then for what programming would make sense for Greene County.
