Sabrina Young

Counselor

Sabrina obtained her Certification as an Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor in September 2021 after obtaining her master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling at Slippery Rock University. She advanced her career to receive a certificate of competency in Problematic Gambling in September 2024, as well as her LPC in July 2025.

Sabrina Young is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and began working at the Gaiser Center in May 2023 as an outpatient counselor, where she ran groups and had a full client caseload. In October 2023, a position for an inpatient counselor opened in the Gaiser Inpatient men’s program, and she applied for and was successfully awarded the position. This was an easy transition for Sabrina as her previous experience and passion lie in this level of care.

She has been working in the mental health treatment field since 2013 and in the substance use treatment field since 2020. Sabrina continues to progress and utilize her skills through training and supervision meetings as we gradually move to a more dual-diagnosis enhanced inpatient treatment environment at the Gaiser Addiction Center.

Sabrina has been with the Gaiser Center since 2023.
