Alyssa Vorel

Supervisor of Outpatient & Ancillary Programming

Alyssa Vorel is the Clinical Supervisor at the Ellen O’Brien Gaiser Center. Alyssa provides support to the inpatient and outpatient clinical departments on compliance and client programming needs. Alyssa earned her master’s degree in social work from the University of Pittsburgh and is a licensed social worker.  

 Alyssa has worked with individuals struggling with substance use disorders since 2011 in several positions and programs.  In 2015, she started as an intern at Gaiser, then worked as a counselor in various programs until becoming the Clinical Supervisor in 2023.  Alyssa is a Certified Trauma Specialist who is passionate about helping individuals who struggle with both substance use issues and trauma.

Alyssa has been with the Gaiser Center since 2016.
